Kate Kendell Day

San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell presented BKF Mentor Kate Kendell, Executive Director, National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR), with a proclamation declaring June 4, 2018 “Kate Kendell Day.” The proclamation was delivered during the ceremonial raising of the Pride flag over City Hall to kick off Pride month. With her BKF Fellow, Darren Arquero, by her side, Kate accepted her award during an emotional ceremony that honored her many years of exemplary commitment to LGBTQ rights at the helm of NCLR.
